We have divided our program into 3 progressive levels that appropriately coincide with a junior golfer’s development.
The first level called “The Cubs” is designed to develop athletic movement and a general interest in the game for juniors just starting out, typically ages 5-7. The curriculum will be mainly based around exercises and activities that promote coordination and balance, which is a key component in the golf swing. Golf will be discussed, but in a fun, inviting, non-intimidating manner.
The second level, called “The Tigers”, will be the introduction to the basics of the game. This will be very similar to our junior program, typically for kids with a basic knowledge of golf and/or ages 8-12. Activities will include basic swing mechanics, short game, etiquette and rules training.
The third level, called “The Golden Bears” is our advanced clinic. This program will teach more in depth swing mechanics, specialty shots, course management and scoring. This program is designed to get kids ready for tournament/high school golf, typically for kids ages 13 and up and/or with a more advanced knowledge of the game.
The final level, called “The Senior Bears” is for students who currently play a lot of golf and/or play in tournament/high school golf events. This program will teach even more in depth swing mechanics, and focus on course management and scoring ability.
